Best Qualified

Uh…be those.  The 1st place ribbon is the job!

How to get there:

 Best Qualified:

Learn what qualifications are needed for the job you are seeking.  For example, Other than a quickie Bachelor’s degree, Medical Degree or the like, if they are looking for power point experience -take a tutorial online or find someone who has it on their computer and have them teach you.  If you happen  to be highly skilled and experienced in other areas of the job, the company might even consider on the job training, if this is a small part of the job responsibilities…You never know. Don’t count yourself out. Especially, if someone else hasn’t done it yet.

Best in Appearance:

Dress conservatively. Girls-Navy blue suit with white shirt underneath is always a safe bet. It can be a cool, longer skirt version of an Alley McBeal suit or a pants suit. If suits make you ill, try black slacks (not jeans..I think that I have mentioned this before) with white collared shirt-this combo, not that I am an expert in fashion, is a classic and you can never go wrong (it is just my perception).  This is also an inexpensive solution to Best in Appearance. Don’t forget shoes count-black or navy to match, uh..not white (had to say it just in case). Light on the jewelry. Small stud earrings. Light on the makeup. Less is more and less is definitely less distracting.

Best in Articulation

Speak clearly. Speak up. Don’t mumble. Take the furniture out of your mouth (or the gum) and form intelligent sentences. Ask smart questions. Give smart answers. Practice and recite your attributes so that there is absolutely no hesitation or stuttering during the interview.

Try not to spit when you talk.
