Cancel Your Cable
Holidays, Birthdays, Anniversaries or any gift giving holiday can suck when you are unemployed .....
While nobody wants to ask for money as a gift (#1 on the Tacky meter), it is really what we all want and need.
This can be a very touchy subject when pride gets in the way but you know what?
#*#!^ pride.
Now I'm not saying ask for a wad of bills.
Just be creative.
The next time someone asks you what you want for your birthday or holiday, try something different.
Ask for Toliet paper.
Don't be afraid.
We all need it and hate to spend money on something that will eventually go down the drain.
Say it with me…’I want toilet paper’
Now say ...'I want tampons'
Not you Bob.
What’s wrong with even asking for the next two sizes up of sneakers for your kids? From Payless not Lord & Taylor, of course.
How about A bucket full of toothpaste and extra tooth brushes instead of a bucket full of unwanted soaps and creams (that you will just re-gift any way)?
Laundry Detergent
Dishwashing Liquid
Light Bulbs
Batteries
409
Coffee Filters
Subway Tokens
How about stamps..man those things are expensive
How about lottery tickets? Nothing wrong with a little paper hope
Anymore ideas? Give 'em this
Come on!
Use your imagination, not limited to maxi pads with wings.
Or if you are still to shy, how about a DVD set of your favorite HBO series (that you didn't get to watch all season because you canceled your cable)?
Trust me, the first person who does it will start the chain.
Do you really need another pot holder from Target? How about clothing that never fits?
Don't be shy.
Make a joke out of it. Get them the same in return.
Don't tell me there isn't a person out there who does not need deodorant, Q-tips or vaseline.
And if you are the gift-giver who knows someone is down and out and could use a hand but you don't want to hurt their pridish feelings.... don't ask. Just do.
You know what your friends and family need. Try not to put them in a position to have to ask.
Nobody wants to ask for anything!
Just put them in the position to say thank you.
I can almost guarantee that you will get an EZ pass to heaven for it!

Who wants to visit the Land of Crazy?

Well, that would be my house at any given holiday.
Oh that’s right, you can’t visit. Nobody is allowed in anymore since the episode last Thanksgiving.
Oh, the family squabble. No two are ever the same.
Each of us in our own right the uncontested winner of crazy family drama. Maybe I should do a site devoted to this fun subject next.
When you are out of work and already stressed, who is the last person that you would want to pick a fight with?
My answer would be a loved one.
When you are stressed and out of work, who is the first person that you do pick a fight with?
My answer would be the same.
Try to avoid taking out stress on family. It can only add layers to the drama and its results will probably make an encore appearance at the next family function.
Family are so easy. You are already mad at them for one thing or another (Oh, is that just in my house?).
Don’t make it worse.
Instead, try to use them for support. Exercise your right to impose. Family remember?
If they can make things easier for you they will probably be more than happy to help (unless you had recently enlisted them on Maury for an episode of Who Is The Father).
Family drama can suck.
But not having family can suck more.

WHO AM I?
What am I?????
When you are looking for a job sometimes you can get a little bit off track.
You become so desperate that you start applying for jobs that aren't even close to what you do.
If you can't find something in your trained field and if the words How hard could this job be? start to play over and over in your head....it is probably a sign.
Desperate.
Stick with what you know
or
Stick with what you love
But don't get desperate and settle or possibly go over your head.
