EGG IN YOUR BEER
Employment for one
Employment for all
This economy smells
Like a urinal stall
You’d think that I would
Get much loved enjoyment
From just sitting back
To collect unemployment
But when the cable is cut
And my hair starts to look fried
I start to feel like
My cat has just died
What will turn around this dysfunctional State of affairs?
To actually feel that someone out there cares
That I live in a house
That is still mine for now
And will not become theirs if I can allow
I’m not asking for a mansion or a big fancy yacht
I’m asking for fairness
Like it or not
To have all of us who live in the States
To have come true the promises of debates
To have healthcare without all the woe
Of doing without because we don’t have the dough
To prevent the asthma
To prevent the sneezes
To prevent cervical cancer
To halt all the wheezes
To fight off our bills
With an ink speared stick
That's lost all its' power
Without a stamp to lick
When did bread become so expensive?
When did I notice and become apprehensive?
When did those drugs on T.V.
Start to look appealing?
Side effects be damned
It can cause healing!
I try to keep my chin up strong
And wonder where we all went wrong
Go Green for now or fade to black
I want the great old America back
Where we were treated first
Before our invaders
They are treated as royalty
Instead of the traders
America first
Then everyone can follow
Because if we are not strong
This country is hollow
So give a hand
Where a hand needs most
Let’s get strong
From coast to coast
Let’s dream our dreams
As if they’ll all come true
We all have to float this boat
Simple, but true
